Lift Plan for Removal of Bridge, State of Illinois

Peak Engineering PLLC prepared a lift plan for the removal of this bridge in East St. Louis, Illinois. The bridge was used to pipe material between two tank farms on opposing sides of the Union Pacific Railroad tracks. The Union Pacific Rail lines are main lines that operate between Chicago, California, and Mexico. The windows of time available to close the tracks to remove the bridge structure are limited, so a plan was put in place to remove each span completely in three separate picks.
